Submission (Objection), Blue Mountains NSW

Project Description

Planning Submission (Objection) – Blue Mountains Local Environmental Plan, Blackheath NSW

We were engaged by two private land owners to make a submission to the Draft Blue Mountain Local Environmental Plan that was placed on public exhibition for comment.  The land owners held four (4) lots, three (3) of which were in an industrial zone that prohibits dwellings but one had an existing house and the remaining two (2) were approximately 408sqm in size each.  The land owners were unable to develop or sell the lots.  It was argued that the industrial zone should be replaced with a residential to the residential character of the street, the narrow street width, the small lot size, and the need for significant buffers to industrial land.  We were successful in achieving a rezoning of the sites from industrial to residential to permit future development for dwellings – adding significant value to these lots for the owners.
