In November 2013, iPLAN PROJECTS (in association with Blayney Shire Council & EDAP) conducted a workshop on the Preparation of Development Control Plans (DCPs) at the beautiful Black Sheep Inn in Orange NSW.

Council officers attended from councils across NSW including Blayney, Parkes, Cowra, Weddin, Bourke, Forbes, Walgett, Tumut, Cabonne, Mid-Western, Bathurst, Lithgow and Wagga Wagga.

This inter-active workshop considered how the legislation and rules governing DCPs has changed, what factors to consider when preparing guidelines, tools to improve the useability of DCPs, and good examples being used by Councils across the State.  The workshop was a huge success and a follow-up presentation to the EDAP NSW Conference will occur in April 2014.
